Tournaments

Tournaments are one of the most popular attractions at Game-A-Thon. This year will feature seven different tournaments. These games are FIFA 15, Madden NFL 16, Call of Duty, Halo, League of Legends 1v1, and Rocket League. Players will have the ability to enter multiple tournaments at the event. All seven tournaments will kickoff at 8p.m. EST. Select games will be streamed online through twitch.tv/PDTGameAThon so that those not participating can watch the tournaments live.

While most tournaments have some rules to follow to ensure fair competition, some will be open to a casual style for more freedom while playing. We feel this will help others feel more welcome to the event. All tournaments will be played in the Ballroom using a local connection. Tournament rules are subject to change. Each tournament has an entry fee of $5, with all proceeds going to Child's Play charity.

Raffles

Raffles are a fun way for attendents of Game-A-Thon to get in on the action and fun of the event if they don't consider themselves a gamer. With many prizes that will be available there is something for everyone to win! Right now many prizes have not been announced, but more and more will start becoming available as the month of October progresses and Game-A-Thon gets nearer and nearer. So far we have prizes from Skyzone and Holiday World available to win!

The rules for tournaments are as follows:

$1 for one ticket, $3 for five tickets, $5 for eight tickets.
Tickets must be bought at the event. No online donations will be used for raffle entries.
You can stick your tickets into any bowls you want on the raffle table.
Be ready to listen to your numbers around each 20 minute interval once raffles start. They will be called over the microphone.
Tickets will be blindly drawn out of the bowl by a Brother.
You HAVE to be present to claim your prize when a raffle is being announced.
We will wait 10 seconds after the initial two number announcements before calling the number again. On the third call we will then call out the name written on the ticket. Short after that it will be thrown out.
Raffles will start around 8PM EST.
